Demi Lovato Talks Tattoos In 'Stay Strong' Bonus Clip

Tonight, Demi Lovato gave the world a revealing look at her road to recovery and shared many details of her personal struggles. The MTV First documentary Demi Lovato: Stay Strong premiered tonight and intimately chronicles the 19-year-old powerhouse's first concert tour after leaving treatment. Immediately following the film's debut, Demi opened up to MTV's SuChin Pak and a special group of fans for a live after-show in which Miss Lovato fielded a host of questions from her fans and walked through some unaired footage from the documentary. In one such bonus clip, Demi tells the stories behind her tattoos, many of which provide her with daily strength and inspiration.
Demi delves into the meanings and backstories of her ink, revealing that most of her body art is rooted in a deeper message. From her very first tattoo, the lyrics "You make me beautiful" on her ribs, which Demi says she got "to look in the mirror every day and remind myself that I'm beautiful," to the "Stay Strong" wrist tattoos for which the hourlong film is named, there's a common thread of self-affirmation and empowerment. She talks about getting inked on the back of buses on Warped Tour. Multiple times. (Ahhhh, youth... *is deafened by the growth of a single gray hair*) AND spills the beans on a few tats even her own dad doesn't know about (until now)!
