Ian McShane, late of "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" and HBO's "Deadwood," has come on board Universal's "Snow White" adaptation as the film's lead dwarf, THR reports. He joins a cast that includes Kristen Stewart as Snow White, Chris Hemsworth as the titular huntsman, and Charlize Theron as the fairytale spin-offs evil stepmother.

"Snow White and the Huntsman" is set to start production in August with a June 2012 release date.

Woody Allen Fleshes Out "The Bop Decameron"

With "Midnight in Paris" out in theaters, Woody Allen is underway getting his next film through pre-production. Called "The Bop Decameron," the flick stars Allen, Alec Baldwin, Jesse Eisenberg, Penelope Cruz, Greta Gerwig, Ellen Page and Judy Davis, and costars Antonio Albanese, Fabio Armiliata, Alessandra Mastronardi, Ornella Muti, Flavio Parenti, Alison Pill, Riccardo Scamarcio and Alessandro Tiberi, according to Deadline. It begins production in Rome on July 11.

Jake Gyllenhaal Gets "Wild"

Jake Gyllenhall is costaring in the premiere episode of the newest season of "Man Vs. Wild," according to The Hollywood Reporter. Following in the footsteps of Will Ferrell, he will spend two days with adventurer Bear Grylls in Iceland following whatever the show's host does. "For me, it's all about discovery," Gyllenhaal said.

Penn Badgley Greets "Tim Buckley"

Following the long drawn out casting process of Jeff Buckley in the upcoming flick "Greetings from Tim Buckley," Deadline has learned that Penn Badgley has sealed the role. "To play a man who was singularly gifted as an artist, greatly misunderstood & mythologized as a human being... It's something very special and sacred," he said in a press release. "I'm going to give all I can to this project."

Sarah Shahi Is Stallone's (Onscreen) Daughter

Variety reports that "Fairly Legal" star Sarah Shahi will be playing Sylvester Stallone's daughter in Walter Hill's upcoming action thriller. In the flick, Stallone plays a New Orleans hitman who teams with a Gotham cop to track down the killers of their respective partners.
