Zac Efron To Voice Anakin Skywalker In December 'Robot Chicken: Star Wars' Special

The big news however is that Zac Efron is among the ranks of newcomer voices joining the cast. The "High School Musical" heartthrob will take the role of Anakin Skywalker; other new guests include Anthony Daniels (C-3PO in all six "Star Wars" movies), Donald Glover ("Community") and Mike Henry ("The Cleveland Show"). They'll join a sizable cast of returning voices, including "Chicken" creators Seth Green and Matt Senreich, "Star Wars" stars Billy Dee Williams and Ahmed Best, and plenty more.

In a statement, Green revealed a more traditional narrative structure for the special: "We're telling more of a linear story this time that covers the series from start to finish." We can expect to learn more in August, when "Star Wars" mania hits Florida from August 12 through 15 with the annual fan convention, Celebration V.
