Scientific breakthroughs in human fertility are constantly redefining what it means to be a family, and when "Generation Cryo" premieres on November 25 at 10/9c, we'll follow 17-year-old Breeanna on her quest to meet her biological father -- an anonymous sperm donor -- as well as her 15 half-siblings. Before joining Bree on her journey of self-discovery and modern family bonding, we're giving you a weekly peek at some of the video-diary entries she taped along the way.

So much depends upon a bagel. When Bree embarks on her voyage to piece together her segmented family tree, she's sure to encounter some tough conversations -- the first of which will come opposite newly discovered half-brother Jonah. To get a better sense of who her and Jonah's biological father might be, Bree needs a DNA sample from a male sibling, and in this first snippet from her video diary, she tries to work up the nerve to ask Jonah, whom she's only just met, for a mouth-swab over breakfast.

"I'm nervous for bagels with Jonah," Bree, who's visiting Jonah and his family in Atlanta, tells the camera. "I'm not sure how I'm gonna approach it yet." Bree acknowledges that there's nothing particularly offensive about asking for the favor, but that she doesn't want to cross a boundary with Jonah on his own turf. "Hopefully it won't be a big deal; maybe I'm just stressing myself out," she says. At least this takes the edge off of sorting through the restaurant's menu...?
