Electronic duo The Knocks are prepping for a very busy next couple of months. The self-proclaimed ~retro future~ duo -- made up of Ben Ruttner and James Patterson -- is headlining their first national tour and promise it will be bigger and better than ever.

"You can expect a party," Ruttner told MTV News. "We have lights, we have production, we have guest vocalists. Our live thing is what we pride ourselves on the most."

On Wednesday (Oct. 28), the Knocks dropped a music video for their new song with Matthew Koma, "I Wish (My Taylor Swift)," exclusively on MTV No Chill. It’s got synchronized dancers, loads of purple hair and an army of Taylor Swift look-a-likes -- "Like fembots," Ruttner added. "It’s cool."

You’ll slip between reality and fantasy with the video’s super surreal visuals and dreamlike vibes, proving the Knocks refuse to be put in a box.

"We draw from old school stuff but we’re influenced by new DJ culture, too." Patterson said, admitting that at first they weren’t totally sure about Matt Koma’s vision for the song.

"We were both kind of hesitant, like, a song about Taylor Swift? That’s kind of weird. We tend to keep away from too much pop culture stuff." (They didn’t hesitate for long, of course).

"The song was just too good," Patterson said. "At the end of the day Taylor Swift is kind of a metaphor for a bigger picture thing. It’s about living your dreams."

The Knocks haven’t met Taylor, but they’ve had a few close calls: "We’re really close with the Haim girls and they went on tour with her so we went to the show. We were kind of lurkers back stage, but no sight."

Even without a Taylor sighting, the duo is fairly confident she’s heard the track, and if she hasn’t, it doesn’t really matter to them. They just want Taylor to know she’s a badass.

The talented pals are also set to appear in an episode of "Finding Carter" this season! "Finding Carter was so fun," they said. "It was a cool experience. Our scene is basically just us rocking a party. The set was this old barn in the South. It looked pretty magical."

Watch the Knocks jam to their hit "Classic" with the cast of "Finding Carter" on Nov. 10 and then try to cope with all your FOMO.
