Ed Sheeran and Ruby Rose were billed as 2015 MTV EMA emcees with the tagline "a little cute and a little badass." The "cute" part obviously refers to Ed, a squeezable cat-loving teddy bear. "Badass" clearly describes the tattoed model Ruby, who plays a convict on TV.

So when Ed hosted the EMA on Sunday night (Oct. 25) in Milan, he played up his lovable side -- while also competing with Ruby Rose. Here are Ed's best, most badass moments on during the 2015 EMA:
