Watch SOHN Shut Down A City Block In His Slo-Mo 'Artifice' Video

SOHN shuts it down -- LITERALLY -- in this clip.

Vienna act SOHN's been making waves on the production side for a minute now, collaborating with Banks and remixing artists like Lana Del Rey and Laura Mvula. But as it turns out, the producer doesn't always need a diva to top his beats.

His new single, "Artifice," is full of the kind of confident singing that should make James Blake nervous. SOHN's a former Londoner, and if any city in the world's making better electronic pop right now, we don't wanna know about it.

The synth-heavy track's the lead effort off of SOHN's upcoming Tremors album, due Apr. 7, and it comes along with an impressive video treatment. The clip is a hyper-slo-mo tracking shot -- definitely more visually stunning than our iPhone 5s cat videos -- that cruises along a scary city block as people run through showers of sparks before the source of the calamity's revealed. (Take that, "True Detective.")

Along the way, SOHN's looking for answers, too. "Somebody better show me how I feel," he sings, and we can help you out with that, dude. It's probably: "Stoked on crushing it in 2014," or possibly "Very proud of my synthesizer collection." Either one's cool by us.
