Movies based on video games can be hit or miss, and ever since the disaster that was the first "Super Mario Bros." movie, Hollywood has been a little scared of adapting the pipe-traversing hero to the big screen. But that won't stop all of us from dreaming!

BuzzFeed's Crystal Ro and Claire De Louraille imagined which famous actresses would play famous Nintendo heroines, and they're so on-point they'll make you want a big screen version immediately.

When casting sovereign of Hyrule Princess Zelda in "The Legend of Zelda" series, Ro and De Louraille chose "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." actress Dichen Lachman. Just look at the video game Zelda and then at Lachman -- there is a huge resemblance.

Meanwhile in Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach (the object of Mario's affection) becomes actress Amber Heard IRL. In the "Super Mario Bros." series, Peach is notoriously stubborn -- Heard's history of playing strong-willed characters make her a perfect choice.
