This Is How One Kanye West Fan Helped Thousands Watch Ye's Super Exclusive Yeezy Season 2 Show

Kanye West worked very hard in the days leading up to his Yeezy Season 2 fashion show making sure none of us had any idea what was going on. While he streamed the show to movie theaters around the country, those of us at home were left to rely on the goodwill of those who bought to tickets to fill us in on what was going on. Luckily, Kristi Medearis, who was at a screening in California, streamed the show through Periscope, giving us and thousands of others an opportunity to see Kanye's show live.

A longtime fan of Kanye's who also saw the stream of Yeezy Season 1 in theaters, Kristi decided to spread the wealth and live stream the event for other fans who were otherwise unable to see it.

"I originally did not have any intention of periscoping the event, but when I got into the theater I started to feel bad for the people who wished they were there but were not able to get tickets or attend," she told MTV News in an email. "I felt lucky that I was able to attend both the Yeezy Season 1 and 2 live streams. I hoped that I could share the experience with a few others. I had no idea that so many people would watch the broadcast."

The show ended up getting over 6,000 views on Periscope, with some people saying that they were watching the show from school or work. But having that many people watching puts the pressure on a phone battery to survive.

"I was actually using my friend Sara's phone because she has unlimited data," Kristi explained. "When I started broadcasting the phone was at 90%. By the time we left the theater her phone was at 8%. Many of the viewers, as well as Sara and I, were concerned that the phone would die before the show was finished."

Fortunately, her phone made it through the entire show and everyone was able to see the reveal of the entire collection as well as Kanye's new song. On behalf of Kanye fans everywhere, we thank you, Kristi.
