Mowgli Rides A Bear, Jumps Off A Cliff And Listens To Kaa's Soothing Voice In The First 'Jungle Book' Trailer
After much anticipation, Disney finally released the first official trailer for "The Jungle Book" on Tuesday (Sept. 15). The live-action film, directed by Jon Favreau, is a remake of the 1967 animated Disney classic. A woman's mesmerizing voice narrates the trailer, guiding Mowgli (Neel Sethi) on his journey as he encounters monkeys, elephants and Shere Khan the tiger. Towards the end, the voice is revealed to belong to Kaa the snake (Scarlett Johansson), who tells Mowgli, "I'll keep you close."
The final shot of the trailer is of Mowgli riding on top of Baloo through the river, while "Bare Necessities" whistles in the background. The nostalgia is almost too much for us to handle.
Safe to say, we're overwhelmed with how beautiful the film appears to be. I mean, the poster alone sends shivers down our spines.
The scenery is breathtaking and the characters truly pop off the screen. Seriously, just look at these photos.
This will be us until we climb down from the Disney high we're currently riding out.
"The Jungle Book opens in theaters April 15, 2016.
