Nicole Byer Is About To Redefine The Term 'Ladylike' With Brand-New Show

Plus, find out what else is headed to MTV.

If you thoroughly enjoy what the entertaining "Girl Code" comedians bring to the table, we have some exciting news for you: MTV has given the green light to a new female-driven comedy series from the show's creators.

"Ladylike" -- a half-hour series starring "GC" alums Nicole Byer, Jade Catta-Preta and Matteo Lane plus comedian Blair Socci -- will feature the cast hitting the pavement to play mind-blowing pranks on the unsuspecting public. In the process, they'll challenge social standards and unleash some uncompromising (and ridiculous) situations. Let the games begin!

"'Girl Code' is all about smart and funny women who aren’t afraid to talk about anything, and ‘Ladylike’ takes that sensibility to the streets to raise hell and challenge a few gender norms along the way," says Lauren Dolgen, MTV's head of Reality Programming and Executive Vice President of Series Development.

Now, take a deep breath and try to hold yourself together, because there are three other pilots on the way: A currently untitled scripted comedy will star the incomparable Byer as a girl who burns down her New York City apartment building and is forced to move in with her sister's suburban family. Auntie Nicole leading four kids through life? Amazing...but bring a fire extinguisher. Just in case.

In addition, "Little Darlings," a half-hour dark comedy, will focus on two very unlikely friends who take justice into their own hands and literally kick ass on their college campus, while an untitled project about high-tech weed "entrepreneurs" is coming from writing team and executive producers Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont ("Leap Year" and "Can't Hardly Wait") and Entertainment 360 ("Game of Thrones").
