Tuesday (Sept. 1) on Beats 1's World Record radio show, Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz premiered a brand-spanking-new, Frank Sinatra-evoking Panic! At The Disco song called "Death Of A Bachelor." This is notable for three reasons:

Zane Lowe normally hosts the World Record show.

Looks like Pete was just filling in, though can we get him his own show ASAP plz?

Pete helped Panic! get their big break back in 2004-2005.

So this was extremely fitting.

PANIC! HAS A NEW SONG OUT! AND IT KICKS ASS!

Come to think of it, this definitely should have been the No. 1 reason.

Panic! singer/songwriter Brendon Urie told Wentz the song is autobiographical and refers to Urie's own marriage to Sarah Orzechowski, which began in 2013. And stylistically, he said it's like "Beyoncé and Sinatra made a song together." We totally hear it -- it swings AND it pops. You can listen to it here via Apple Music.

Indeed, Urie wrote on the band's website that "Death Of A Bachelor" was heavily inspired by Frank Sinatra, who would have celebrated his 100th birthday this year. Though the song "doesn't sound remotely similar" to anything the crooner sang, Urie said he wrote it while feeling Sinatra's unique influence.

"I attach his music to so many memories: Opening presents on Christmas day, my grandparents teaching the rest of the family to swing dance, watching 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' with my siblings (Sinatra makes a cameo in the form of a cartoon sword singing 'Witchcraft'). His music has been a major player in the soundtrack of my life. So it’s only right that I return the favor and/or pay it forward," Urie wrote.

No *official* word if "Death Of A Bachelor" will appear on Panic!'s still-untitled fifth album, which may or may nor also include previously released single "Hallelujah." But luckily, Urie told Wentz that the album is totally done (!) and in the final mixing stages.

We're pumped to hear the rest, especially if it's full of more crooner-meets-pop-star numbers -- Dean Martin as sung by Rihanna, anyone?
