Santa Claus might not make you happy with a toy on Christmas day this winter, but if he brings you a copy of Mariah Carey's first ever children's book, that might be cause for celebration.
Today (August 26), Carey announced that the lyrics to her hit classic, "All I Want For Christmas Is You," will be published as a a children's book about a young girl who wants a puppy as her holiday present. Cue the cheerful squeeing.
According to Buzzfeed, the book will be published by Random House Children's Books and illustrated by Colleen Madden.
"When I wrote 'All I Want For Christmas Is You,' it was my dream for it to become a classic Christmas song," Carey told People Magazine. "I am so proud of the song's impact as it continues to create memories for fans each year."
Mission accomplished, obviously! Since the song was first recorded and released in 1994, it's sold over two million digital downloads and was the first holiday ringtone to be certified double platinum. Carey still performs it live, too, at events like last year's 82nd annual Rockefeller Christmas tree-lighting ceremony.
You'll be able to pick up a copy for yourself on November 10th, just in time for the holiday season. We know at least one person who's super pumped to snag a copy:
