Earlier this month, Planet Earth was given its greatest gift since solar power when Zac Efron signed on to star with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in a new "Baywatch" movie. And while we still don't know which lucky lady (or two) will be the new Pam Anderson in the film, we do know (thanks to the Rock) that it's going to have some "R-rated" humor... and that it's going to be completely, well, "badass."

"[Johnson and I] met... we had breakfast and talked about it, and it was just a real loose conversation. I didn't know how quickly it was going to materialize, but it did," Efron said, during a recent press day for "We Are Your Friends."

"We're working on it right now," he continued. "We're going to make it badass, but we still want to pay homage to the original show, so it's really a careful combination. It's going to be badass, for sure. We're going to beat up some dudes, and swim a lot."

And as for how it will tie in to the OG show, which ran from 1989-1999 on NBC and made David Hasselhoff a living legend (especially in Germany), Efron couldn't really say... because it honestly seemed like he didn't know.

"I'm pretty sure this is a new... you know what? I can't really say," he said, quickly saving himself, Mitch Buchannon-style, from a disapproving email from the "Baywatch" powers that be.
