Nick Jonas Is Going To All New 'Levels' On The VMA Pre-Show

Nick will perform his song live for the first time!

Nick Jonas promised he was giving us a huge announcement, and it really doesn't get much bigger than this.

Nick is not only going to be releasing a brand-new single, "Levels," BUT, he's performing it LIVE for the first time ever on the VMA pre-show.

The singer announced the news with this amazing Instagram video, which shows him waking up and asking us the question, "You're probably wondering why I'm waking up at 5am?" Actually, I was wondering if his arms somehow got bigger, because DAMN.

Anyway, he goes on to say -- in between putting on his robe and having his morning coffee -- that he has a "ginormous" announcement about his single, which drops August 21. The singer is then seen getting into his elevator and stripping off his robe to reveal his oh-so-handsome look in a tuxedo. Looks like he's all set for the big day.

The VMAs (August 30) could end up being an even bigger night for the former Jonas Brother member since he's up for his very first solo VMA in the Best Male Video category for his video for "Chains." Nick has been rallying the fans hard over the past few weeks to submit their votes.

This isn't the first time Nick has taken the VMA stage. If you remember, back in 2008, Nick along with his brothers, Kevin and Joe, took over Paramount’s New York City backlot to perform "Lovebug" in front of hundreds of screaming fans.

"Levels" will likely the lead single off of Nick's upcoming second solo album (can't wait for that, whenever it comes out!), which follows last year's self-titled solo debut and gave us the hit single, "Jealous."

Watch Nick take over the VMA pre-show stage on August 30 before the big show goes down live from L.A.'s Microsoft Theatre at 9 p.m. ET.
