Amy Schumer's HBO Special Preview Revealed: 'Still No Anal'

'Get the f--k up, Apollo!' isn't just a deleted 'Rocky IV' quote.

Amy Schumer might be a newly minted TV/film star-slash-solidified member of the zeitgeist by way of "Inside Amy Schumer" and "Trainwreck," but when it comes to stand-up, she's a well seasoned veteran with over a decade of experience yukking it up on-stage. Yep.

And after countless turns as a small screen stand-up stand out a la "Comedy Central Presents," "Funny As Hell," and "Last Comic Standing," to name a few, it's high time the funny lady is starting to get her due opportunity to shine with a full-on HBO one-hour special, filmed live at the historic Apollo Theater in Harlem and directed by Chris Rock. Now, that's what we're talking about. Bring. It. On.

Judging by this first teaser video for the show, released by HBO on Sunday (August 9), Schumer is going to be in full form for her big spotlight performance. The sample, although brief, assures us there'll be plenty of solid jokes about her aversion to anal sex, her first experience with a urinary tract infection, as well as her notorious struggles with a hirsute nether region. You know, just the true need-to-knows.

"Amy Schumer Live At the Apollo" airs on HBO on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 10 p.m. EST which means you now officially have a reason to root for the end of summer.
