Did Ellie Goulding Just Hint That She Recorded The New James Bond Song?

Not so fast, Ellie says.

Earlier this month, Sam Smith denied he was tapped to record the theme song for upcoming James Bond flick "SPECTRE," but name-dropped his pal Ellie Goulding as the potential chanteuse. Ellie took the opportunity on Monday (July 27) to shut down the rumors on Instagram.

That's her exiting the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London, birthplace of literally hundreds of amazing recordings -- including Adele's "Skyfall" from the 2012 Bond film of the same name. The caption? "That's a wrap," with a hands-folded emoji (or is it a high five?). You see how people got excited about the "SPECTRE" stuff.

Of course, Goulding is also working on her third studio album, the follow-up to 2012's Halcyon, so it's more likely that this photo captures the graceful, celebratory exit of a woman whose next major work is officially completed. In fact, Goulding confirmed this in the comments, saying: "Guys. I wrapped my album... Jeez."

Now, it could be that Goulding recorded the "SPECTRE" theme tune and is trying to play it cool until it's officially released. But we heard it straight from the "Love Me Like You Do" singer herself: Album No. 3 is officially in the books.

And we can't wait to hear it. We also can't wait to hear who *officially* will record the "SPECTRE" theme song because, at this point, it could be anyone.
