Paul Walker's Little Brother Lands His Own Action Flick

Cody Walker is going into the family business.

When Paul Walker's brothers Cody and Caleb stepped in to serve as his body-doubles in "Fast and Furious 7," after the actor's tragic and untimely death in November, 2013 halted production on the pic, neither of them had any acting credits nor known Hollywood ambitions to their names.

But now, the youngest Walker brother has stepped up and scored his first real film role all his own.

Deadline reports that Cody Walker will star in "U.S.S. Indianapolis," a Nicolas Cage-led historical action film about a World War II ship which was hit with a torpedo after delivering parts of the atomic bomb called Little Boy -- the one which would later destroy Hiroshima, Japan on Aug. 6, 1945. Walker will portray one of the ship's mates who struggles to survive after the vessel sinks and leaves hundreds of the men stranded in shark-infested waters. Scary stuff.

Walker first expressed an intent to pursue an acting career and follow in his late brother's footsteps in April, reportedly even teaming with Paul's manager to get his start.

"It's bittersweet, but I think Paul would be proud," Cody said of the Walker brothers' work on "Furious Seven" soon after it premiered. We have a feeling the same could be said for this news.

Annnnnnnd here come the sobs.
