Lana Del Rey's 'Honeymoon' Lyric Video Is Here -- And Weird

I mean, she's sleeping by the highway...

I always had a weird fantasy of living in a highway median -- you know, among the manicured bushes and trees. Super strange, right? Well, it appears Lana Del Rey has some similarly dark 'n' twisted fantasies -- at least according to the intro to her lyric video for "Honeymoon."

The '70s-esque video opens with Lana lying in the grass as violins whine -- like some kind of nymph in the woods. Then the camera pans down to the busy highway, and we realize that Del Rey isn't in some kind of magical glade, but sleeping on the side of the road in the tall grass and trees, flowers in her hair.

That's all we get when it comes to visuals, though -- soon, the screen fills with the lyrics to the song that she has been teasing for weeks now, an old-movie-echoing track that sees Lana singing about, "Our honeymoon/Our honeymoon/Our honeymoon."

Sharing the title with her forthcoming record, "Honeymoon" is reminiscent of Born To Die and Paradise, putting Lana back into the character of a grown-up Lolita, lost in love/hate with a man both sexy and depraved.

“I finished my last one in March and released it in June and I had a follow-up idea," she told Billboard of her next record. "It’s growing into something I really like. I’m kind of enjoying sinking into this more noirish feel for this one. It’s been good.”

Del Rey previously teased a snippet of what appeared to be the video for the track, which seems to be continuation of what happens in the start of the lyric video clip -- but, you know, with tigers. We can't wait.
