Love doesn’t always last forever. And, thankfully for all the smitten lovers who’ve ever gotten their S.O.’s name permanently inked on their bodies, neither do tattoos.

So it only makes sense that Iggy Azalea — who announced her engagement to Nick Young last month — seems to be removing the A$AP Rocky tattoos on her fingers once and for all.

Iggy and A$AP dated in 2011 and the Aussie rapper cemented their relationship with the words “live,” “love” and “A$AP” tattooed on the inside of her fingers.

Iggy had previously gotten a large black “X” inked over “A$AP,” and she reportedly began the removal process on that finger last year. However, new photos show the 25-year-old exiting a cosmetic dermatologist in Los Angeles this week with bandages covering all three fingers, raising questions about whether or not she’s erased the ink entirely.

In an interview with Complex in 2013, Iggy spoke highly of her former flame and insisted she didn’t regret getting the ink.

“I’ve never regretted it. I f--king loved him. I know he loved me, too,” she said. “I felt like he was somebody I could count on who loved me for being me, and I don’t want to forget that. I would sacrifice a quarter of a pinky for those memories. That’s why I didn’t cross it out all the way, because if I’d covered it up all the way, that says I’m embarrassed. You shouldn’t be ashamed of the trials of becoming an adult. I wanted people to know I’m free for more possible love interests, but also not ashamed.”

Those sweet sentiments aside, it definitely makes sense that Iggy would want to start off married life with a clean slate — or maybe even a fresh new Swaggy P tat.
