All year long, we've anticipated the arrival of the first ever heir to the Throne of Goldblum, after the newlywed Jeff Goldblum and Emilie Livingston announced in January that they were expecting their first child.

And now, the Goldbaby has arrived: Charlie Ocean Goldblum was born on July 4, a.k.a. Independence Day, in what was clearly an intentional homage to one of his father's most iconic movie roles.

Let's be real, Jeff himself was probably egging the kid on, sidling up to his wife's belly at the stroke of midnight on our country's birthday, and telling him to vacate the premises RIGHT NOW.

Now that the baby is born, there's clearly just one thing left to do: Bring in Will Smith to give him a warm welcome to Earth, because we know he's good at that.
