You haven't even seen the second John Green book-to-screener "Paper Towns" yet (unless somehow you have, in which case we're jeal AF), but already it's time to go ahead and start thinking about the third.

Because the author has just announced that a director has been chosen for the adaptation of his very first YA novel, the 2006 Michael L. Printz Award-winning "Looking For Alaska." Eep!

Chosen to helm the newest sure-to-wreck-our-feels installment is -- drum roll, please -- Rebecca Thomas!

Green, who made the announcement via Twitter on Wednesday (June 24), called Thomas "brilliant" and gleefully declared that the news means, "IT IS REALLY HAPPENING."

He also added that he is "ecstatic" about the directorial selection and assured that he believes "Becca's the person for the job."

Rebecca Thomas is a relative newcomer to the industry, but her indie "Electrick Children" about a devout Mormon girl who believes she's been impregnated by music, earned her the Directors To Watch honor at the 2013 Palm Springs Film Festival, among other critical nods. That film is currently available for streaming on Netflix, for those who might like to familiarize themselves with her 2012 feature film debut.

"Looking For Alaska," for those who've not yet read it -- Note: DO SO IMMEDIATELY, that's your new homework assignment! -- is about a kid named Miles (nickname "Pudge") who heads off to boarding school and meets Alaska Young, a girl who is best described with one of the book's more famous passages: "If people were rain, I was drizzle and she was a hurricane."

So, you know, only the most earth shattering stuff of all teenagedom per usual -- which is just the way John Green rolls, kids. And we love to love it.

And the film script is being penned by "The Fault In Our Stars" screenwriting duo Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, so there is no "Great Perhaps" about whether this movie'll be awesome. Okay? Okay.
