'The Princess Diaries': Where Is The Royally Awesome Cast Now?

We miss you, Fat Louie.

Earlier this week, Disney-loving hearts were ripped out of their chests "Once Upon a Time" style when a rumor began that "Princess Diaries 3" was happening -- only the rumor was a big, fat lie, and it's not. Dramatic sigh.

However, the good news is that now everybody has "Princess Diaries" on the brain... ourselves included, which is why we've taken this opportunity to do some good old fashioned digging to see where the cast is today.

Anne Hathaway, "Mia Thermopolis"

Anne

I mean, you know where she is. She won an Oscar. Let's move on.

Julie Andrews, "Queen Clarisse Renaldi"

Julie

There's a good chance where you know where living legend Dame Julie Andrews is too, but if not, let's catch you up: the "Sound of Music" songstress was recently seen at the Academy Awards, where she passed the torch to Lady Gaga for a few minutes during her very well-received tribute.

The only live-action film she's appeared in since "Princess Diaries 2" was "Tooth Fairy" with Dwayne Johnson, but she's kept busy doing vocal work in films like "Despicable Me" and the "Shrek" sequels. She's also a grandmother and a great-grandmother, and has toured with a "Sound of Music" costar around the world doing speaking engagements.

Heather Matarazzo, Lilly Moscovitz

Heather

Matarazzo, who reached indie fame when she starred in "Welcome to the Dollhouse" back in 1995, is very active on Twitter, and has occasionally blogged as she continues to act -- she guest-starred in two episodes of "Grey's Anatomy" earlier this year.

She has written that being told by Hollywood that she was not "f--kable" is probably why her phone isn't ringing off the hook for leading lady roles, but we at MTV News love Matarazzo and are hoping her next big move is just around the corner.

Héctor Elizondo, "Joe"

Hector

Joe has done just fine for himself over the past decade -- he's been playing Tim Allen's boss on the ABC sitcom "Last Man Standing" since 2011. He also appeared in two popular movies about a bunch of young folks finding love on holidays, "New Year's Eve" and "Valentine's Day."

Mandy Moore, "Lana Thomas"

Many

Moore is still famous, though not quite at the level she was in the early 2000s. Younger folks might know her as the voice of Rapunzel in "Tangled" (a role she'll soon revisit for the small screen), while TV-lovers might recognize her from the short-lived Fox series "Red Band Society," in which she played Dr. Erin Grace.

Her film career has fizzled a bit, but who knows -- she could be one role away from "Walk to Remember" levels of domination. She's also really good friends with Minka Kelly, as evidenced by the sheer number of Getty photos in which they appear together.

Erik von Detten, "Josh Bryant"

Erik

Erik von Detten, who I will always know as Sid from "Toy Story," doesn't seem to do much these days -- though he did make a vocal cameo in the third installment in that franchise, as well as on "Family Guy" in 2009. At least he still looks really handsome, has all of his hair, and a really cute son?

Robert Schwartzman, "Michael Moscovitz"

Robert

Mia's OG dream boy was ditched in the sequel for superstar Chris Pine, but our hearts still go aflutter for the lead singer of Rooney, who is also Jason Schwartzman's brother, Nicholas Cage and Sofia Coppola's cousin, and Francis Ford Coppola's nephew. He no longer performs with Rooney, but he scored the James Franco/Emma Roberts movie "Palo Alto" last year and is currently working on his directorial debut, "MF," which he also wrote.

Patrick Flueger, "Jeremiah Hart"

Disney/AFP

Patrick

Jeremiah has come a long way since his orange hair days -- the handsome actor currently stars on NBC's popular "Chicago Fire" spin-off "Chicago P.D." He also played Chuck in the bigscreen "Footloose" remake.

Caroline Goodall, "Helen Thermopolis"

Disney/AFP

Caroline

Goodall, who you may also remember as Moira in "Hook," still acts regularly. She was in the Nicholas Sparks movie "The Best of Me" in 2014, and will appear later this year in "The Dressmaker" with Kate Winslet and Liam Hemsworth.
