"Jurassic World" picks up 22 years after "Jurassic Park" left off -- same Bat island, new Bat dinosaurs. And new (dino) Easter eggs for hardcore fans of the franchise as well, director Colin Trevorrow promised in an interview with MTV News ahead of the release of "Jurassic World."

The new movie is meant to be accessible to newcomers to the franchise, but there are plenty of treats, "little, subtle things," as Trevorrow said, for long-time, hardcore fans of the series as well.

Here's one for free, if you want to brag to your friends about catching it. (We won't tell that you had a little help.)

"When the T. Rex does appear and what she smashes through, what that is a skeleton of, it's a spinosaurus," said Trevorrow. In "Jurassic Park III," the T. Rex fights the villainous spinosaurus. Finally, decades later: revenge. "What's worse than killing something? Is to smash through its dead bones."

Trevorrow said that as a "Jurassic" fan himself, it was important to him to throw in several somethings special for the die-hards.

"I've been very in tune with the 'Jurassic Park' fan community and it's a big one and they care deeply," he said.

"Jurassic World" is in theaters now.
