If you thought the first few minutes of "Guardians of the Galaxy" were emotional, wait until you see what's coming up in the sequel -- because whatever it is, just hearing about it turned Chris Pratt into a puddle of tears.

"There's this thing going around about how I cried after reading the draft... the truth is I cried just after hearing the pitch," Pratt told MTV News -- and his costar Zoe Saldana -- at Spike TV's Guys Choice on Saturday (June 6).

This got Saldana -- who apparently knows a bit less about what's next than Pratt does -- very curious to hear what her kickass character Gamora's role would be in all this.

"Your part is great, oh yeah," Pratt replied. "We're both completely instrumental, it's amazing, it's amazing, it's amazing."

We believe you! If only we didn't have to wait until 2017 to find out for ourselves.

Oh, and if you feel like getting a little misty-eyed yourself, see what Saldana had to say about why Pratt deserves every ounce of the praise he's getting -- including the Guy of the Year award from Spike.

"He's a talented actor; he's been having a couple of great moments here and there on the big screen, we're not gonna lie," Saldana said as she fought back tears. "So it's only fair for investors to invest in him, and he deserves it... you put in your time, your energy, your jokes for many, many years, and now you're reaping those benefits."
