Chinx Has A Final Gift For Fans With 'Welcome To J.F.K.' Debut Album

The rapper's posthumous album arrives in August.

Coke Boys rapper Chinx, was laid to rest in his hometown Queens, New York, on May 26, but fans will get to hear more music from the slain rapper on his posthumous album this summer.

eOne Music announced that Chinx's debut album Welcome to J.F.K. will arrive on Aug. 14, led by the new single "On Your Body," featuring Meet Simms.

The Queens rapper signed with the label in February and had been working on completing the album with producers Lee on the Beats and B Korn of the Amazinz. His manager, Doug "Biggs" Ellison, promises that fans won't be disappointed.

"Watching and helping Chinx develop as an artist over the last few years has been an amazing experience. He had finally come into his own, musically," he said in a press release.

"This new body of work, Welcome to J.F.K., is a 1 of 1 creation. We took the raw emotions of an artist on the rise, and created a lane that will absolutely establish Chinx as a pioneer in the game. That may be a bold statement for some, but this kid was ahead of his time."

Chinx was fatally wounded during a drive-by shooting in Queens on May 17. Family members and friends, including French Montana, paid their respects during his memorial service and burial last week.

Chinx was also remembered during Sunday's episode of Hot 97's "Street Soldiers" show with host Lisa Evers.
