Surprise — Jeezy's New Mixtape 'Gangsta Party' Is Here

Rich Homie Quan, 2 Chainz, Yg, and Kevin Gates all feature.

On Friday night (May 22), Jeezy pulled a Beyonce and dropped a surprise mixtape, Gangsta Party. Hosted by DJ Drama, it's his first project since releasing Seen It All: The Autobiography last year.

Practically all of Atlanta seems to have rolled through his studio: 2 Chainz, Rich Homie Quan, Kevin Gates, YG, and Shy Glizzy all appear. The tape also features production from a who's who of modern Atlanta hitmakers, including London On Da Track, Sonny Digital, Zaytoven, and Cardo. Jeezy's been king of the city for a solid decade at this point, since releasing Thug Motivation 101 back in 2005 (feel old yet?). For his new tape, it makes sense that he'd update his sound with the producers responsible for the biggest hitmakers coming out of the city today.

Speaking of which, the first song on Jeezy's new tape, "I Might," features Rich Homie Quan. It's an impressive moment -- the old kingpin and the new guard, united on a beat produced by London On the Track.

"I might just get back on my block s--t, Jimmy Iovine, yeah, we chasin' billions," raps Jeezy. "Might just whip two halves, two nines and hit the block, Might just go on tour, n---a, get the guap."

Jeezy sounds fearsome -- despite a decade in the spotlight, he's still hungry and he still has what it takes to keep with the new generation.
