'Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials' Trailer Is Here To Burn Your Retinas With Awesome

Don't be a crank, watch the trailer now.

I don't think you're ready for this jelly. And by jelly, we mean scorch, because the first trailer for "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" is here, ready to burn your eyeballs out with awesome.

As if Gladers weren't primed and ready from yesterday's exclusive, first look at the set, today we're getting to see what Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) and the rest of Group A have been up to since they were "rescued" by WCKD at the end of the first "Maze Runner" movie. Except, of course, they weren't really rescued: this is (spoiler, we guess) all part of the set-up for yet another trial. And this time, they may not make it out alive.

In case you're a Greenie, the first movie took place entirely inside of a massive, inescapable maze (that, you know, they escaped from) populated entirely by amnesic dudes. Once Thomas showed up -- followed quickly by the first girl any of the boys had ever seen, Teresa (Kaya Scodelario) -- everything went to heck in a mazebasket, with most of the group not making it out alive.

Things pick up here with the group being plunged into the Scorch, a post-apocalyptic wasteland inhabited mainly by the zombie-like Cranks. What is WCKD testing for? Is Thomas the key to their survival? And could they -- shudder -- meet more girls? We'll know more when the movie hits theaters on September 18.
