Watch Eddie Murphy Go Full Reggae In New 'Oh Jah Jah' Video

Is an album on the way?

It took four months, but Eddie Murphy finally blessed fans with a music video for his reggae song, “Oh Jah Jah,” on Wednesday (May 6).

In the Richard Gumbs III-directed clip, which employs hazy graphic effects, the comedian is seen performing the song in the studio flanked by his band.

Dressed in a Rastafarian star-emblazoned long-sleeve t-shirt while playing guitar, the “Red Light” singer does his best to channel his inner Bob Marley.

While the visuals never take Murphy to Babylon or Zion, it’s still an enjoyable romp through his popular reggae tune.

Question is, does this mean he’s going to release a full album?

"If people respond to 'Oh Jah Jah' then I might,” Murphy told Rolling Stone back in January. “If people don't, that s--t will just stay on the shelf where it's at. And I'm cool with that. I'm cool with all my s--t being on the shelf until 100 years from now. Everything comes out 100 years from now," Murphy said. "Any artist that did anything, once you're gone, they go looking through all your s--t. Like this scrap of paper that you drew on. If I'm doing a movie or if I'm going onstage, that's me being funny. But music, I do that all the time, for free."

Let's also never forget Murphy's 1985 video for "Party All The Time." Relive the vintage magic below. Vaguely reminiscent, no?
