The First Teaser Trailer For Quentin Tarantino's 'The Hateful Eight' Is Here And It's Bloody

8 makes hate.

Update: The trailer has been seemingly replaced by a video of Krishnan Guru-Murthy interviewing Quentin Tarantino from January, 2013. We'll update again once the trailer is back online, but for now, original story (minus trailer) follows.

The first official teaser trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s “The Hateful Eight” is here and, yes, it’s as bloodied as you were expecting.

While the short clip doesn’t show any of the star-studded cast, it’s a highly stylized, blood-splattered look at what’s to come from the director of “Django Unchained.”

As the blizzard that overtakes the plains of the American frontier goes from white to crimson red, the basic plot of the film is revealed with chilling effect.

“On the edge of the American frontier,” reads the words. “Some time after the Civil War, eight strangers were stranded by a blizzard. They soon discovered they shared a deadly connection.”

From there, the teaser lists all eight of the western’s central characters: Marquis Warren aka “The Bounty Hunter” (Samuel L. Jackson), John Ruth aka “The Hangman” (Kurt Russell), Daisy Domergue aka “The Prisoner” (Jennifer Jason Leigh), Chris Mannix aka “The Sheriff” (Walton Goggins), Bob aka “The Mexican” (Demian Bichir), Oswaldo Mobray aka “The Little Man” (Tim Roth), Joe Cage aka “The Cow Puncher” (Michael Madsen) and General Sandy Smithers aka “The Confederate” (Bruce Dern).

The trailer, which leaked last summer but never made its way to the ‘Net, should tide fans over until "The Hateful Eight" hits theaters later this year in “glorious 70mm super cinemascope.”
