Robert Downey Jr. Gifting A Young Fan An IRL Bionic Arm Will Make You Weep: Watch

This is actually the sweetest thing ever.

Do you know what your day needed? More tears. And now, thanks to Robert Downey Jr., you are in luck.

The "Avengers: Age of Ultron" star gifted a 3D-printed "Iron Man" arm to Alex, a 7-year-old boy who was born with a partially developed right arm, and his brand spankin' new bionic limb is pretty legit. "I think yours might be better than mine," RDJ tells Alex in the video below when his repulsor malfunctions.

(Also, can we petition for Alex to have a role in all future Marvel films because this kid is ready for his big screen debut. Just look at that bow tie!)

Of course, the real superhero of this video is Albert Manero, who built the low-cost artificial limb in partnership with non-profit charity organization Limbitless Solutions. Manero used a 3D printer (!) to create Alex's bionic "Iron Man" arm at a fraction of the cost of typical artificial limbs. The arm cost just $350 in materials to make. And that seems like a steal when you look at the smile on Alex's face.

"I'm probably going to start farming out a lot of my tech-work to Albert too," jokes RDJ. That's probably not a bad idea, TBH. Think of how much chicken shawarma Tony Stark could buy with his savings!
