Snoop Dogg Just Set The Bar Really High For Paris Fashion Week
Seeing musicians hit the catwalk is nothing new for fashion shows these days. Integrating some sort of performance provides added interest to the usually blink-and-you-missed-it short runway shows. That's why it's not that surprising to hear that Snoop Dogg kicked off Paris Fashion Week. What is surprising, though, is that the Doggfather performed "Drop It Like It's Hot"—a song that, while a Snoop classic, saw its peak on radio airwaves more than ten years ago.
The performance for Etam—a lingerie and swimwear-focused brand based out of France—is actually Snoop's second this season. He revived another D-O-Double G classic, "Who Am I (What's My Name?)" for Philipp Plein's Fall/Winter 2015 menswear show in Milan this January.
Why the sudden influx of Snoop? Well, he's releasing new music: a new album titled Bush, which he's teamed up with fashion-fave Pharrell on executive producer duties. Judging by the vibes in the studio and the two tracks Snoop has elected to remind the public consciousness of, Snoop wants to be re-associated with having a good time and this is poised to be full of party records.
Here are some more pics of Snoop to remind you of what a fun dude he is:
He made his entrance on a balcony amidst a giant Union Jack. Even though he was in Paris.
Why? We can't be sure.
During his set, he tried The Skinny Arm pose.
"You could be a model, Snoop!" - everyone in the audience, probably
He got down in a cloud of bubbles.
What's that move, Snoop? A little cha-cha? A little merengue?
Here's what that looks like from behind.
Nice view. ;)
Oh, right, there were models there, too.
ALMOST FORGOT IT WAS A FASHION SHOW. LOL, MY BAD.
Related but unrelated, this is what he looked like when he arrived in Paris.
