Jessika Van Discusses Her 'Seoul Searching' 'Like A Virgin' Cover

She was sad and blue...

The movie "Seoul Searching," which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, focuses on a group of 1980s teens who come to Seoul, Korea to find themselves -- and have a lot of fun in the process. The whole thing ends up being one massive, crazy party, which is what made stars Justin Chon and Jessika Van really want to do it in the first place.

"I mean, how can you say no?" Chon told MTV News. "We're going to Korea, and we get to pretty much live our dream. Go and party and... we get super messed up on whiskey and Soju. We drink a lot of Soju in the movie."

... But perhaps most importantly, Van's character honors an '80s classic by singing -- and dancing -- to Madonna's "Like a Virgin." A capella.

"I can't wait until Madonna sees it," director Benson Lee said. "Seriously, we got the rights to do the remake of it, with her rendition of it, and it's one of the most classic scenes in the film."

Classic, sure. But easy for Van? No way.

"I thought I'd have a backing track or something, and [Lee] goes, 'No, no no no. I like your voice. You just sing it, and dance, and there's nothing else,'" she revealed. "I was like, 'Oh my God.'"

Her rendition in the film is pretty great, but even if it wasn't, she did have a backup.

"I pitched that I should do it," Chon joked. "But he didn't like that."
