Is Mona's Body In The Barrel On 'Pretty Little Liars?'

We are not okay with it. #Justice4Mona

"Pretty Little Liars" is flying off the rails this season -- and we can't look away.

Detective Tanner and Officer Toby made a grim discovery at the end of Tuesday night's (January 27) episode when Tanner opened the barrel. And while Rosewood's finest have to wait for the DNA results to confirm whether or not the rotted remains found in the bin o' sin were Mona's, it doesn't look good for the Liars, especially Hanna.

Desperate to erase any false evidence connecting her to Mona’s murder, Hanna plotted to steal the barrel -- and whatever was inside it -- from the storage facility, but she didn’t count on Officer Toby and Detective Tanner busting her and Caleb mid-deed. Now Hanna is numero uno on Tanner's list of Ali's accomplices.

But was that Mona's body in the barrel? And why did Toby lie to Spencer about it? Here are seven burning questions from last night's episode:

Is Mona in the barrel?

ABC Family

Mona on '

We don't want to believe that the O.G. "A" would end up stuffed inside a barrel (it's too undignified), but Tanner looked seriously disturbed after opening it. Not to mention that the rank smell definitely implied that whatever was in the barrel was rotting. Then again, remember when we believed Detective Wilden's body was in the trunk? Red herring or not, something not so pleasant is in that barrel -- and it's connected to Mona's murder.

Is Jashley becoming a thing?

ABC Family

Ashley Marin and Jason DiLaurentis on '

When Jason and Ashley first hooked up, we were surprised by how much we liked the idea of Jashley, but did Jason think of their tryst as more than just a fling? Ashley attempted to put some distance between them by quitting her job, but Jason wasn’t about to let her walk away so easily. Jason told Ashley that if she slept with him because she was unsure about her future with Ted, he wouldn't be offended. Ashley denied it, telling Jason she was just "lonely." A few hours later, however, Jason and Ashley shared another kiss, which she abruptly ended out of guilt. Sorry, Pastor Ted, but Jashley has been way more interesting than Tashley ever was.

Was "A" collecting Spencer and Aria's prints to frame them?

ABC Family

Aria on Pretty Little Liars

At the end of the episode, "A" -- or someone on the "A" Team -- went back to Boo Boo's Ice Cream Factory, and we discovered that the hoodie-loving psycho was using it to store all of the evidence he/she collected from the storage unit. This was also the place "A" nearly froze Aria and Spencer to death, and their prints are unfortunately all over the place. It looks like "A" collected the prints, which can only mean one thing: "A" is trying to frame all of the Liars for Mona's murder. In fact, what if "A" puts Sparia's prints all over the murder weapon?

Why did Toby lie to Spencer?

ABC Family

Spencer and Toby on Pretty Little Liars

Officer Toby has been kind of the worst lately. We understand that he's caught between the oath he made to the Rosewood P.D. and the promise he made to Spencer, but wasn't the whole point of joining the force to get someone on the inside who could protect the Liars from crooked cops like Wilden and Holbrook? Not only did Toby not warn the Liars that Tanner was on her way to the storage facility, but he also refused to tell Spencer what was underneath the lid of the barrel. Not cool, bro.

To make matters even worse, Toby pulled a “Tanner’s calling me” to exit the conversation with Spencer -- before he got in his truck and drove off. Real mature, Toby.

Did Ezra really just break up with Aria?

ABC Family

Ezra on Pretty Little Liars

Aria and Ezra haven't always been our favorite couple, but "The Bin of Sin" proved that these two have come a long way since sneaking around town. Aria, in what might have been her most mature decision to date, decided to show Ezra her letter to Jackie. But much to her surprise, he was totally cool with it, telling her, “You did what you had to do to get in.” Okay, fair point. Upon another read, however, Ezra realized that maybe their relationship stopped Aria from pursuing the things she should have. “I want what’s best for you,” he told Aria, adding that he doesn’t want to be the reason she misses out on any more life experiences. So he kinda, sorta broke up with her, and honestly it was the best decision Ezra has ever made on this show. Why? Because Aria did miss out on a lot of teenage experiences because of her relationship with Ezra. Plus, maybe now Aria will get more involved with the "A" game.

Who has the laptop?

ABC Family

Hanna Getting Hit By The Car on Pretty Little Liars

Spencer found the laptop at Boo Boo's Ice Cream Factory, but it ended up being a trap from "A." But after Sparia survived their near-death experience in the freezer, did Spencer remember to take the laptop back? Or had "A" already snatched it back? And are Mona's files even encrypted in it anymore? Mona must have hid an external drive out there somewhere, right?

Who gave that anonymous tip about the storage unit to Tanner?

ABC Family

Sad Toby on Pretty Little Liars

Toby said that Tanner got an anonymous tip about the storage unit which prompted them to take a look, so who made the call? And why can’t the call be traced? Could Holbrook and Tanner be working together in this? She seemed upset when Toby suggested that Holbrook might have been involved in Ali's cover-up, but was she trying to shut him down to get him off the trail?

For all we know, the entire town of Rosewood could be part of the "A" Team. It would at least explain how "A" is always everywhere and nowhere at the same time.
