Berger Perfectly Recreates The 'Sex And The City' Breakup Post-It

SORRY.

It's every girl's worst nightmare -- or at least, once we knew that it could happen, it became every girl's worst nightmare: the Post-It note breakup.

In one of the most infamous episodes of "Sex and the City," boyfriend Berger (Ron Livingston) left Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) a Post-It reading, simply, "I'm sorry. I can't. Don't hate me."

Dare we say: worse than a scrunchy.

Definitely worse than a scrunchy.

Carrie hasn't forgotten, we haven't forgotten, and apparently Berger himself, Livingston, 12 years later, hasn't forgotten either. We know this because Cosmopolitan reporter Charlotte Palermino tracked Livingston down at Sundance Film Festival and asked him to recreate the infamously concise note, and he totally did. Read it and weep:

See? Dreams Nightmares do come true.
