Last year, Run the Jewels (the dynamic duo of Killer Mike and El-P) crowdfunded their amazing second album via Kickstarter. One of the rewards was a full-album remix of Run the Jewels 2 made entirely with cat sounds -- and since they hit their goal, now they have to deliver.

El-P has already begun work on Meow the Jewels, and last night (January 23) he revealed clips of the album from the studio where he's hard at work remaking the entirety of Run the Jewels 2 from mews and purrs.

The clips show the album's opening track "Jeopardy" coming to life thanks to a roster of feline guest vocalists. According to a recent tweet, celebrity cat Lil Bub is set to join their ranks.
