Beyonce Schools Everyone On Body Image And Feminism In Her Latest Surprise Video

Preach, Bey.

Do you hear that? That sweet, sweet sound? It's just the resplendent, joyful noise of Beyonce dropping some major truth bombs on err'one in her brand spankin' new short film, "Yours and Mine." The usual, y'know?

The nearly 12-minute-long vid is described as a "retrospective short film celebrating the one-year anniversary of the self-titled visual album, BEYONCÉ," and while black and white footage of her music videos plays, Bey reflects on her truly incredible life. She covers a lot, but our favorite nuggets of wisdom have to be her thoughts on body image, and of course, feminism.

"We do not value ourselves enough. Especially young people, [who] don't really appreciate, how brilliant our bodies are. I've always been very, very specific, and very choosy—very choosy—about what I do with my body, and who I want to share that with," she said, proving once again that she's an omniscient, heavenly being of whom we are not worthy.

"I know when you grow up, when you learn a few things, you're no longer afraid of letting go. You're no longer afraid of the unknown. You're no longer afraid of going to certain places in your body and your mind and your soul, that may make you feel uncomfortable. It all starts with if you can look at yourself in the mirror and say 'I like that person,' you know? If I hadn't gone through some of the painful experiences in my life, I would not be me."

Since Queen B has basically become an unofficial spokeswoman for feminism these days, she made sure to touch on that subject in the video, saying, "I always considered myself a feminist, although I was always afraid of that word because people put so much on it, when honestly it's very simple. It's just a person that believes in equality for men and women. Men and women balance each other out, and we have to get to a point where we are comfortable with appreciating each other."

Preach, Bey, PREACH.

As a final gift to us, Bey also gave us the secret to a life full of eternal bliss. "Happiness comes from you. No one else can make you happy. You make you happy," she said.

To be fair, Beyonce, you make us pretty damn happy. Just sayin'.
