There's Now A Fan-Led Petition Begging Lil Wayne's 'Carter V' Be Released Before Christmas

Almost half way to 1,000 signatures...

Now that the release date for Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V album is uncertain, some fans are organizing to make sure it comes out sooner than later.

Over 350 (and counting) anxious fans have signed an online petition via iPetitions.com, urging Cash Money Records to release the album before the new year. Wayne's fans attached a brief statement to the request, that reads:

"We would like to take the time to request that Baby & Cash Money Records consider releasing Lil Wayne aka Lil Tunechi new album for the holidays. We the fans have truly been looking forward to a new release and hope you will reconsider your decision not to release it. Thank you so much in advance for your consideration."

Yesterday (December 4), Weezy shocked everyone with a string of surprising Tweets that revealed the dysfunction within the Cash Money camp. Wayne blamed his longtime label boss and father-figure, Bryan "Baby" Williams, for the hold up on the album and apologized to all of his fans.

This isn't the first time he's prolonged the release of this project. Since July 2012 when the album was first murmured, the release date has changed nearly five times.

With Christmas right around the corner, all Weezy's fans want is a copy of Tha Carter 5 in their stockings. Help the petition reach its goal of 1,000 signatures by visiting iPetitions.com now.
