November 27 marks exactly a year since Disney's "Frozen" hit theaters, and if one thing has been abundantly clear in the past 365 days it's that we just can't let it go. From toys, to books, to ice shows, to repeated viewings of the adventures of Elsa and Anna, we've memorized and analyzed the movie for nearly 52 solid (ice) weeks.

So in honor of this momentous anniversary, here's every single scene - and song - in the film, ranked in order of awesomeness:

48. "The Frozen Heart"

The song is pretty and all, but the whole idea that Arendelle's economy is at least partially based on ice harvesting - yet they're super upset when everything gets covered in ice - is confusing.

Also, other than Kristoff, these ice farmers never seem to show up again. If it's supposed to set up something other than terrifying children by starting a 3-D movie with saw coming right at their faces, we're not sure what it is. Though it is nicely reminiscent of "Fathom's Below," another useless song that kicked off "The Little Mermaid."

Disney, real talk: we know what ice and also the ocean is, you don't need to establish these ideas through song.

47. Hall Of Ice

Olaf and Anna get trapped in a hall of ice. This does not affect the plot too much. Or, you know, anything, because they escape almost immediately.

46. Everybody Runs Through The Snow For A While

Not since "X2: X-Men United" has so much of a climax been taken up with most of the main characters running aimlessly through places calling each other's names. At least in this case it's a snowy wasteland covered in sinking ships, rather than a bunch of hallways. But still, other than killing time for Anna to get more and more frozen, its a way of amping up tension towards the end of the movie, versus the great character stuff that surrounds it.

45. "Fixer Upper"

The trolls are one of the weirder elements of "Frozen," and this song is a bit goofy after all the weighty stuff that's gone on right before it. Also, we find out that on top of everything else, Kristoff has an inappropriate relationship with Sven. What in the world is happening in this scene?

The trolls try to get Kristoff and Anna married in the worst way possible (like, seriously, they make terrible decisions across the board), and there's no more potent visual metaphor for this scene that the emotional climax happens at the bottom of a hole.

That said, we do find out officially Anna has ice in her heart, so Grand Pabbie the troll gives her the very unhelpful advice that only an act of true love can mend a frozen heart. Luckily, they figure out this regular bit of vagueness from the rock trolls.

44. Journey To The Trolls

Anna and Elsa's parents take Anna to the Trolls to save her life, and they come up with the worst solution possible: they remove Anna's good memories, improperly explain to Elsa's parents how her powers can be controlled, and quite possibly kidnap little Kristoff after wiping his memory. The scene is fine, but it's a lot of plot early on, and a bunch of weirdness that thankfully the movie gets away from quickly.

43. Anna Loses Her Horse, Gets Cold

Sure, this is a thing we needed to see, we guess? It bridges the gap between Anna leaving Arendelle, and making her way to Wandering Oaken's Trading Post, but, whatever.

42. Wandering Oaken's Trading Post

Okay, just to go on record, we think Oaken is the most annoying character in the movie - and given he never shows up again, really, how necessary is he? We have Anna meet Kristoff, an important plot point, and Anna gets a new outfit which is always important. But really, how different would the movie have been without Oaken? Not that much different.

Sorry, Disney's possibly first gay character.

41. A Plan Is Hatched

Hans "reveals" Anna is dead, and that Elsa has killed her. He charges Elsa with treason, and this is kind of where his carefully laid plan goes off the rails? If you're gonna stage a murder, make sure the body is dead first, buddy.

40. Elsa Escapes

Hans sends guards to execute her, she ice cold freezes her way out. The end of scene.

39. Elsa Tries Not To Feel Things

That's pretty much it. This is after the battle with Marshmallow. But at least it looks nice.

38. The Coronation

Elsa's coronation is a necessary scene for the plot, but other than the tense moment where she needs to remove her gloves to hold a scepter, it isn't giving us much new information.

37. Closing The Gates

It's a short scene, but an important one, as we establish that Arendelle - and Anna and Elsa - are closed off, possibly forever. Not jaw-dropping, but definitely crucial to the movie.

36. Anna Ponies Up

After Elsa flips out, Anna steps up by riding out on a horse to find her. And then makes the worst decision ever, when she hands the kingdom over to Hans. Oops. Still, it's a good first realization that Anna is gonna be the hero of this piece, not Hans.

35. Three Years Later

Three years after "Do You Want To Build A Snowman," we get the first hint that something is seriously wrong with Kristoff when he channels the voice of his own reindeer. We also meet the villainous Duke of Weselton, and he's pretty cool. Definitely an important bridge scene, but not the G.O.A.T.

34. Anna And Kristoff's Wild Ride

Here we get the essential difference between Kristoff and Hans, and where Hans tries to compliment everything Anna likes, Kristoff actually challenges her. And then they get attacked by wolves for some reason. Why? Because it happened in "Beauty and the Beast?" The character stuff during the wolf fight is great, and it serves a small plot point, setting up that Anna needs to buy Kristoff a new sled later on. But other than filling an action hole, it doesn't quite match up with a lot of the rest of the movie.

33. Which Way To The North Mountain?

It's a quick scene between the wolf chase and meeting Olaf, but check out Kristoff's amazing face when it says, "It's completely frozen!" Yeah, it's awkward hearing you say the name of the movie too, buddy.

32. Meanwhile, Back In Arendelle

Hans wins over the citizens of Arendelle, while making plans with the Duke of Weselton anyway. We also get Anna's (well, Han's) horse returning without her, sending them all to the confrontation with Elsa. It's another plot scene, so there's that.

31. Bye Bye, Villains

Hans gets dragged back to Southern Islands, and the Duke of Weselton gets kicked out forever. For the first time in forever, the villains get their due without ending up being splatter on a sidewalk, which is nice.

30. "Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People"

Not quite a song, and can we again mention that Kristoff's whole "talking reindeer" thing is weeeeeird. Still, in the scene, Anna recruits Kristoff and tries to be purposeful, which is pretty cute.

29. Anna Meets Hans

Anna has a meet-cute with the 13th son of the Southern Isles, and he's pretty much the perfect Disney prince (until he isn't, later). It's certainly helped by Anna continuing to be goofy and funny.

28. Olaf Gets Impaled

Short scene where Kristoff and Anna discuss Elsa, which is okay, but then Olaf gets happily impaled, which is better.

27. Anna Tries To Climb A Mountain

Anna tries to climb a mountain (unsuccessfully), while Kristoff and Anna playfully debate love. It's fine, but ends with a great stinger from Olaf.

26. Elsa In Chains

Elsa wakes up back in Arendelle in chains, and is faced directly with having frozen the whole country. Hans begs Elsa to bring back Summer, but this short scene is more about Elsa falling deeper into monster-dom.

25. Ice Skating Party!

How do you end a movie called "Frozen?" Everybody ice skates in the town square! Sure, why not? Yay! we love happy endings. And warm hugs.

24. Approaching Elsa's Castle

Kristoff falls in love with Elsa's ice palace, has some physical comedy with Sven... And then once again Olaf saves the scene with a great line.

23. The Coronation Party

There's a lot to unpack in this scene, including how awkward Anna and Elsa are to each other... Though they both bond over chocolate, establishing they still have a bond. This is followed by our first look at the Duke of Weselton's amazing dancing, and then Elsa's cruel shutdown of Anna when she asks why they can't be friends all the time. Finally it's capped off with Anna and Hans bonding over a little dancing.

22. Elsa And Anna Play

"The sky's awake. So I'm awake. So we have to play." Little Anna (and Little Elsa, of course) are adorable, and so much is set up in this scene. Anna and Elsa's pre-accident relationship, Elsa's magic, the creation of Olaf (and his love of warm hugs)... Not to mention the, you know, accident. If there's one downside, it's that there's a lot of info in this scene to handle, and we don't quite know the characters well enough yet.

21. Elsa Frozens Up The Joint

Right after running out of her coronation, Elsa freezes a good portion of Arendelle and plunging the country into eternal winter. She also discovers more of her powers (sweet fractals, dude) when running to safety, and then everyone else flips out.

20. Kristoff Rides To Arendelle

Trying to save Anna's life, Kristoff rides to Arendelle as fast as he can, while Olaf accidentally terrifies an unseen villager. It's a plot scene, but this is also the moment we realize (though, duh), that Kristoff loves her for realsies. Like Olaf says later, he loves Anna enough to leave her forever.

19. Olaf Is Allergic

Poor Olaf is allergic to flowers, but at least he has a friend like Sven. A cute, short scene.

18. Kristoff Gets His Sled

Anna pays back Kristoff with a new sled... And a smoocheroo. It's pretty cute, and a nice wrap-up that doesn't have two of the leads getting married. Also, Sven's show-girl moves next to the sled are hilarious.

17. Olaf Is Saved

After Elsa gets her powers under control, she saves Olaf... And as a bonus, Anna sucker-punches Hans, which is pretty satisfying.

16. Anna Wakes Up

Maybe not technically a separate scene from "For The First Time In Forever," but Anna, we feel that. This is us every morning.

15. Post-Marshmallow Battle

After the fight with Marshmallow, we get some more great lines from Olaf, as well as a budding friendship/romance between Kristoff and Anna... And the very important plot point that something is wrong with Anna after she's been shot through the heart, and Elsa is to blame. Though we won't find out until later if Hans gives love a bad name.

14. Kristoff Realizes He Loves Anna (Kind Of)

Sven confronts Kristoff about his love for Anna, and as soon as he sees storm clouds over Arendelle, runs back to save her. Short scene, but it's nice to see Kristoff not being crazy for once.

13. Elsa Freaks Out

"You can't marry a man you just met," Elsa says. "You can if it's true love," Anna shoots back, after Elsa shuts down her attempt to marry Hans. There's a ton of emotion in this scene, and of course it ends with Elsa being straight up chased out of town like a Frankenstein's monster. Fire, bad? Scene, good.

12. Meeting Olaf

There's the quiet beauty of wandering through the forest... And then we meet Olaf, who could have been the most annoying character in the movie (that honor goes to Oaken), and instead quickly proves how incredibly charming and hilarious he is. His relentless positivity is infectious, and the jokes come fast and furious. And if that wasn't enough, it segues into one of the best songs in the movie.

11. "In Summer"

This is just a pretty much perfect musical theater song. It probably doesn't push the plot forward much, but it nicely breaks up the visual palette of the movie, it's brilliantly choreographed, and it presages Olaf's heartbreaking sacrifice towards the end of the movie.

10. Marshmallow Battle

As opposed to the wolf chase, this is an action sequence actually motivated by - and connected to - the plot of the movie. Plus, there's some great comedy from Olaf, and some legitimate danger in the form of the adorably named snowman.

9. "Love Is An Open Door"

It's a little marred with the last scene revelation that Hans is eeeevil (spoiler) - but Anna and Hans' love duet is pretty cute; and certainly explains why they almost get married immediately afterwards. In the span of Disney movies, its both a nice tribute, and a fun parody - their clock dancing in particular is pretty amazing.

8. Hans Revealed

Well, that's a punch in the gut, right? The full extent of Hans' selfish evil is revealed, and we get definitive proof, in case it wasn't clear, that this isn't going to play out just like every other Disney movie. Hans' turn to ultimate villain is pretty sharp, but it hurts all the more for it.

7. "For The First Time In Forever"

Our first real indication that Anna is a total, adorable goofball. It takes the place of the requisite Disney "I want to go someplace else, you guys!" song, but its incredibly charming - and really clarifies who Anna is, and what she wants. And what she thinks she wants is romance.

We also find out what's been going on with Elsa, which is not quite as cheery as what's going on with Anna. In fact, their whole physical presence is opposite - one free as the wind, jumping through crowds. The other is clenched up, and hidden in the dark. It's a fun song, and a great character one too.

6. Hans V Elsa: Dawn Of Ice

Hans tracks down Elsa to her ice palace, battles Marshmallow, and ends up capturing Elsa. It's a pretty crucial action sequence (as well as visually spectacular), and an important character moment in Hans' over-arching plan of evil niceness.

5. "Do You Want To Build A Snowman"

So much happens in - and during - this song. Anna and Elsa grow up, we learn about Elsa' s need to "conceal don't feel," their parents horrifically die, and we get the most gut-wrenching use of a door in cinema history. This whole sequence is, in a word, iconic.

4. Olaf Saves Anna

Olaf warms Anna up enough to give her just a little bit of life, nearly ending his own in the process. It's a beautiful, sweet funny scene and brings several character arcs together towards the end of the movie.

Plus, Olaf's observation that Kristoff doesn't love Anna enough to leave her behind forever is hilarious.

3. "Let It Go"

Oh, have you heard this song before? Just a few times? Yeah? Still, there's a reason this is the stand-out number from the movie. It's not the best scene, but Idina Menzel crushes this song, Elsa gets an amazing makeover, and it's the girl power anthem of, I don't know, the century maybe? Ignoring "Anaconda," of course. It's a visual and audio tour-de-force, but in terms of plot (yes, she builds an ice castle, but did we need a whole scene about it?) it's not number one.

2. "For The First Time In Forever (Reprise)"

This is the first scene in the movie where we really get to see the relationship between Anna and Elsa. Elsa is finally free, and Anna lets her know what's going on in Arendelle. Olaf helps things gain emotional heft, but as usual it comes down to that crucial moment in their childhood. Then we get a "First Time In Forever" reprise which is pretty good. It's also one of the only times in the movie the sisters sing together.

...And then Elsa shoots Anna through the heart with ice, followed by the creation of the giant "evil" snowman Marshmallow. This is, without a doubt, not just one of the longest scenes in the movie, but probably the most crucial. It's got plot, songs, special effects, comedy... It's "Frozen" in a nutshell.

1. An Act Of True Love

Why is this the best scene in the movie? Because it's the one that broke the Disney mold and beautifully. Kristoff sees Anna across the ice, runs to save her from her frozen heart... And then Anna makes a choice. She jumps in front of Hans' sword, saving Elsa's life at the expense of her own. She freezes, and the camera hangs there for what feels like forever. We check in with all the characters, we register their sadness, and then magic happens.

See, it was an act of true love between two sisters, not true love's kiss that saved the day. And now we're a blubbery mess. Not only that, but Elsa finally figures out that it's love that will help her control her powers. No thanks, trolls.

Everything about this whole sequences, including the unfreezing of Arendelle is beautifully rendered.
