Former Dinosaur Jr bassist Mike Johnson will release his

third solo

LP on Aug. 11. Produced by Phil Eck (Built To Spill,

Modest Mouse), the 12

tracks composing the currently untitled release feature Josh Homme

formerly of Kyuss playing bass on some tracks and John

Atkins of 764-HERO sitting in on others, with Mudhoney

drummer

Dan Peters taking a seat behind the kit and Johnson handling guitar

and vocals. Johnson has also landed opening slots on this summer's

Tuatara and Mark Lanegan tours.
