‘Evil Dead’ Is Finally Getting A Sequel, But There's A Twist

Groovy.

For "Evil Dead" fans, the process of waiting for a sequel to "Army of Darkness" has been a series of starts and stops. Sam Raimi was working on a sequel. Then he wasn't. And then he was.

And now, we finally know when we'll see Ash and his boomstick next.

Bruce Campbell will start in a ten-episode Starz series, "Ash Vs. The Evil Dead," starting in 2015 (via Variety). Each episode will be a half hour, with Raimi directing the first.

"Evil Dead has always been a blast," Raimi said in a statement.

"Bruce, Rob [Tapert], and I are thrilled to have the opportunity to tell the next chapter in Ash's lame, but heroic saga. With his chainsaw arm and his 'boomstick,' Ash is back to kick some monster butt. And brother, this time there’s a truckload of it."

It's news, frankly, I thought we'd never hear, but now that's it's a reality, all I can say is, "Groovy."
