Get Your First Look At Marvel's New TV Show, 'Agent Carter'

Peggy Carter for the win.

"What now, Ms. Carter?"

"Now, I go to work."

Indeed she does! Peggy Carter, the hero at the center of Marvel's new show "Agent Carter," kicks all kinds of butt in the first clip from the limited TV series event. But the butt-kicking only comes at the end of the clip; before that, we get to see a lengthy exchange between Hayley Atwell as Peggy and Dominic Cooper as her old friend (and Iron Man's daddy) Howard Stark, who tasks her with a top-secret mission.

Not only that, Howard supplies Peggy with a new ally: Edwin Jarvis, the Stark family butler, and a man of very strict routine. ("Seven o'clock sherry, eight o'clock Benny Goodman, nine o'clock bed," he reveals of he and his wife's schedule.) When Peggy calls Jarvis out on having zero espionage experience, Jarvis all but laughs in her face.

"Far from it," he boasts. "Last summer, I caught the cook pocketing the good spoons."

The clip ends with Peggy going one-on-one with a bad guy in a kitchen, a quick display of violence that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with her long lost boyfriend Captain America.

"Agent Carter" premieres in January. Not soon enough.
