These 12 Movie Cats Totally Stole Scenes From Stars

Featuring rising star, the 'Gone Girl' cat.

Before I get any death threats, I have to first acknowledge that the following list of the cutest cats in movie history is not in any particular order. This is an appreciation, not a competition.

That's because movie cats are something that should always be enjoyed and never argued over. Their function in a scene can range from pleasant set decoration to integral character.

And these are just a few of the very best.

1. Cat from "Gone Girl"

It's hard to stand out in a cast full of superb actors, but this cat was clearly a scene-stealer.

2. Ulysses from "Inside Llewyn Davis"

Symbolic and very cute.

3. Cat from "Breakfast at Tiffany's"

Cat was played by Orangey the cat, the only feline to win two Patsy Awards (animal Oscars).

4. Cat from "The Vow"

If you can standout next to a shirtless Channing Tatum, you're a cute cat.

5. Thackery Binx from "Hocus Pocus"

Is it wrong to think that he made a better cat than human?

6. Jonesy from "Alien"

A cat that can keep his cool while watching a Xenomorph eat a dude is a cat I want to know.

7. Mr. Bigglesworth from "Austin Powers"

With hair or without, Dr. Evil's cat was the kitty behind the man.

8. Sassy from "Homeward Bound"

Cats rule. Dogs drool. 'Nuff said.

9. Crookshanks from the "Harry Potter" Series

I always thought he was an animagus. Turns out he was just an awesome cat.

10. Puss in Boots from the "Shrek" Series

Bawww.

11. Duchess and the Kittens from "The Aristocats"

Talk about overcoming obstacles! Not only that, but these cats know how to play the piano. The movie just glosses over that fact. I don't get it.

12. Milo from "Milo and Otis"

I have some mixed feelings about this one. Milo is obviously very cute, but I'm not sure how many Milos there actually were.
