Watch Kendrick Lamar Help LeBron James Kick Off His NBA Season

King Kendrick also teams up with King James for a Beats ad.

Kendrick Lamar’s “i” is already an NBA anthem, so it was fitting when K. Dot was asked to help LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers kick off this regular season tonight (October 30) with a free show outside of Quicken Loans Arena.

Lamar joined TNT and Samsung's “Coming Home Thursday” event before the Cavs faced off against the New York Knicks in what would become the Cleveland squad's first loss of the year. Dot performed his love thyself anthem as LeBron returned to his original team after four seasons with the Miami Heat, where he won two NBA championships.

Not enough Lamar and LeBron? The performance comes on the heels of King Kendrick and King James teaming up in the latest Beats ad, which features K. Dot's verse on Jay Rock’s new single, “Pay For It.”

So, we're thrilled about the NBA season and we're happy about the new Jay Rock cut, but, we're still asking when K. Dot's releasing his good kid, m.A.A.d. city follow-up. From what he told us and what we're hearing about his new single "King Kunta," it's hard not to be excited about what's to come.
