Bryan Singer, Storm, Jean And Cyclops Are All Confirmed For 'X-Men: Apocalypse'

Younger version of the mutants have yet to be cast.

The "X-Men" franchise has found itself back in top form after the latest installment, "Days of Future Past," and a new report confirms that the same creative team will be back together for the next movie, "X-Men: Apocalypse."

Deadline confirmed that Bryan Singer has closed a deal to direct what will be his fourth movie in the franchise. His involvement had been thrown into question by accusations of sexual abuse, which have since been dropped.

Singer will bring back some familiar faces, though not exactly the ones we know from previous movies. Younger versions of Storm, Jean Grey and Cyclops will appear in "Apocalypse," which will be set in an alternative timeline from the movies we've already seen.

This will be the aspect of "Apocalypse" that will be really interesting for fans, since pretty much everything is fair game after the time-bending storyline of "Days of Future Past."

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is set to hit theaters on May 27, 2016.
