Charli XCX Announces New Album 'Sucker': Stream 'Break The Rules' Now

Before her VMA pre-show performance at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday, the singer surprises us with album news.

Get ready, suckaz -- Charli XCX just announced that she's got a new album dropping soon.

Titled Sucker, Charli's second major-label album will be released on October 21. As if that weren't enough, the VMA Pre-Show performer's first single off the LP, "Break the Rules," is streaming right now on SoundCloud.

Out on Neon Gold/Atlantic Records, Sucker is the follow-up to 2013's True Romance.

After the success of Iggy Azalea's "Fancy," which she co-wrote and sings the hook on, Charli is up for Video of the Year, Best Female Video, Best Art Direction and Best Pop Video for "Fancy" at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards. She's also nominated for Artist to Watch alongside 5 Seconds of Summer, Sam Smith, Fifth Harmony and Schoolboy Q for her solo track "Boom Clap."

Want for more Charli? Don't miss the VMA Pre-Show at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV before the big show on Sunday, August 24.
