The network also announced today that Terry Brooks' best-selling fantasy books "Shannara" will be adapted for the small screen with a 10-episode pickup. The novels tell the story of the Shannara family, who live thousands of years after the destruction of our civilization. The clan's descendants have magical powers and their adventures continuously reshape the future of the world.

And more shows are hitting the MTV airwaves before you know it! Senior year is raging on for the Palos Hills High gang, while Karmy will continue to try to figure out their relationship; "Awkward" and "Faking It" will return on Tuesday, September 23 at 10/9c and 10:30/9:30c, respectively.

Meanwhile, teen dramedy "Happyland," which will explore the not so magical reality of the workers at one of the country's most popular theme parks, is set to premiere on Tuesday, September 30 at 11/10c.
