The Actor Who Played Biggie In 'Notorious' Arrested After Domestic Dispute

Gravy got hit with assault and battery charges.

Most fans remember Jamal "Gravy" Woolard from his role as the Notorious B.I.G. in the 2009 movie "Notorious," and now the Brooklyn native is back in the news -- but not for anything positive.

On Monday, TMZ reported that Woolard was arrested in Gwinnett County, GA for an alleged domestic violence incident. The 38-year-old rapper and actor was taken into custody after his 15-year-old stepson made a call to police. He is now being charged with battery, cruelty to children, and assault.

Prior to playing Big, Woolard dropped a number of mixtapes and was building a buzzing rap career. In April 2006 he was shot outside of New York City's Hot 97 radio station and later had his music banned from the station.

Things got tough for Woolard, but started to look up after he landed the much-celebrated "Notorious" role. He's been mostly quiet since then, however.
