Janelle Monae Is The 'Q.U.E.E.N.' Of VH1's Super Bowl Blitz: Watch Now

The 'Electric Lady' singer partied in the Bronx ahead of Sunday's big game.

J. Cole kicked offVH1's Super Bowl Blitz on Monday night and it was COVERGIRL Janelle Monae who took the party over from the rapper on Tuesday night when she hit the stage at Lehman College in the Bronx.

The stylish singer, donning a tailored, black-and-white outfit, played a handful of her tunes during the high-energy set. Monae was backed by a multi-piece band who also wore black-and-white to match the singer. She took the stage to the jam-packed room, singing "Come Alive (War of the Roses)," "Q.U.E.E.N.," "Electric Lady" (off her September release off the same name), "Tightrope" and "Prime Time."

VH1's Super Bowl Blitz will feature live music at different venues throughout New York and New Jersey this week, leading up to the Super Bowl on Sunday. Check out Superbowl.VH1.com for more information on upcoming shows. And, of course, the big game takes place this weekend when the Seattle Seahawks take on the Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
