The Wanted To Go On Hiatus After Spring Tour

The boy band has confirmed they are going on hiatus after their Word of Mouth tour this March.

The Wanted had some big and somewhat surprising news to share with their fans on Wednesday (January 22). The boy band confirmed that after their upcoming tour, they will be going on a break.

Their Word of Mouth tour kicks off on March 14 in Liverpool and wraps up on March 25 in Belfast. After that, the fivesome will take some time away from each other, they said in a statement on their website.

"This tour will be their last for a while as Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavors following the tour's conclusion," the statement reads. "The band wants to stress to their fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future. They thank their fans for their continued love and support and look forward to seeing them on tour."

The guys released their album, Word Of Mouth, last November, and they have plans to release another single from it before they take a break later this spring.

"The Wanted are pleased to announce the release of their new video and single 'Glow In The Dark' taken from their November release 'Word of Mouth'," the statement continued. "They are very excited to perform 'Glow In The Dark' along with their smash singles 'I Found You', 'Chasing The Sun', and 'Glad You Came', amongst others for their fans on their upcoming Word of Mouth Tour."

Shortly after making the announcement, the guys took to Twitter to thank their fans for their support over the years. They tweeted, "We just want to say thanks again to you all for your massive love and support, it means so much to us. We love you guys!"

The Wanted are the second boy band in the last few months to announce a split. Last fall, the Jonas Brothers said they were going their separate ways. And, last November, the Wanted had some advice for the guys, also weighing in on that split.

"I would love to speak to the Jonas Brothers," Siva Kaneswaran said. "They're still the Jonas Brothers like a family. I would like to speak to them and see what happened and see what the story is, get involved, get in deep and talk."

"It's weird because they are family so you don't really know the severity of it," Tom Parker added. "I just hope they still stay close because obviously family is family."
